Turning the humble doily into still life paintings onto wooden bowls and platters, leaves and pineapples hand turned by craftsman. Incorporating the wood grain into the image I paint. Recreating the setting, playing with shadows and looking closely at the variety of stitch work, either it be embroidery or crotchet.
