APPLYING FOR memberSHIP

If you are a contemporary artist in the Blue Mountains Local Government Area or you have a strong connection to contemporary art in the Mountains you may be eligible for membership of MAPBM. Members receive a range of benefits including:

• The opportunity to participate in MAPBM exhibitions, events and shows.
• A regular newsletter with information on the organisation’s activities, as well as details of members’ upcoming exhibitions.
• Access to MAPBM’s Show and Tell sessions, seminars, member groups and other professional development and social activities.

Membership costs only $15 to join and $25 annually ($15 if you are experiencing financial hardship). The MAPBM Committee will consider applications from contemporary artists and performers as well as from curators, artworkers and others actively involved in contemporary art who support the aims of the organisation. Priority will be given to:

• Applicants who are residents of the Blue Mountains LGA or whose art practice, employment or engagement in the contemporary arts sector is based in the Blue Mountains.
• Applicants residing in the neighbouring LGAs of Hawkesbury, Penrith and Lithgow who preferably have a connection with the Blue Mountains.

Preference will also be given to applicants who can actively contribute to MAPBM's operations in some way. Members must abide by the MAPBM Constitution and Code of Conduct. Contact us at info@modernartprojects.org for an application form and further information about joining MAPBM.
